If you are trying to renew your EXISTING TAHFM dues - DO NOT submit an application on this page or you will create a duplicate record! Please visit the Membership Renewal Page to renew your dues.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the association's membership structure so that you choose the correct member type below. Note: Only hospital employees qualify for Primary or Additional Professional Active Member. Please read the category descriptions carefully before selecting your member type.
Primary Professional Active Membership is available to those individuals who are actively employed in or by healthcare-related facilities (those that provide patient care), or who have responsibility in healthcare facility operations (e.g., facilities management, plant engineering, evs, design/construction, security, safety, clinical engineering, and telecommunications). Dues in the amount of $100 are assessed to the organization each year on January 1. Additional Professional Active Members from the SAME facility may register for a discounted rate of $50 per person whose organization maintains a Primary Professional Active Membership in TAHFM.
Professional Positional Membership is available to uniformed military and nonuniformed governmental positions (not individuals) maintained by healthcare-related facilities that have responsibility in healthcare facility operations (facilities management, plant engineering, design/construction, security, safety, clinical engineering, telecommunications). Due to the transient nature of the aforementioned positions, Professional Positional Membership provides benefits of membership to whomever assumed the position’s duties within their organization. Dues in the amount of $50 are assessed to the organization each year on January 1.
Educator/Student Membership Non-Voting is available to full-time educators or college students teaching or taking course work related to any discipline represented by the Society. Dues in the amount of $25 are assessed to the student each year on January 1.
Retired Membership is available to Professional Active Members who have fully retired and still desire to belong to the Association. Retired Members may vote, serve on committees and participate in the Actions for Professional Excellence (APEx) recognition program, but may not hold office. Dues in the amount of $25 are assessed to the member each year on January 1.
If you are not certain which membership type applies to you, please contact us at email@example.com or call 512-220-4291.
